In deciding whether to take The
Lexus Project to the next level and start advocating for all
breeds I remember the question being posed;will we end up
defending every pit bull that bites someone? Then Luna came to our attention
and though we don't own huskies, she was wrongly imprisoned
and needed a voice, so we spoke. Then Buddy was held to
languish for ten months without seeing daylight and, though
we don't own goldens, what they were doing was wrong. He
needed a voice, so we spoke. Then Cody, a pit mix puppy, was
ordered killed and needed a voice; though we don't own pits,
he was a puppy, so we spoke. Today in our email we received
a copy of a lease "pet policy" clause specifically excluding
different breeds and found out they are coming for our
breed, and I am glad we did take the non-greyhound cases
because all dogs deserve a voice and a chance to live and be
loved and cared for.
